Maya Fluid Textures have Scale,and Translate but no rotation. It would more than come in handy for a few fx.
The fluid shader assigned to the cloud particle looks even better in Maya 2009 and MR’s particle sampler info node now working. If we could add per-particle rotations through the build in rotations in the fluid it could have even more natural look.
Duncan once said it shouldn’t be too hard to add that feature, but I never got around to asking more officially. This seems to be the best place for it.
