Is there iRay for Maya 2012? Or this was just implemented for Max 2012?

I certainly hope so.  It was one of the main things I was looking forward to.

No iray in Maya 2012?

What are you thinking, people at Autodesk?
I’ve been using Maya for 14 years now, and I just began tagging along with Max in order to take advantage of iRay, and to be honest, I am completely blown away by the quality and speed.

The wait has lasted a year exactly and to see Maya 2012 announced and see that (apparently) iRay is not integrated is just a major bummer.

I hope you people pay attention and satisfy a huge percentage of the community and give us a proper integration within Maya.

Cheers to all,

L

i am definitely interested in iRay, but i don’t think i’m going to buy Mental Ray Standalone to get it.  if it were included in Maya 2012, i’d consider my subscription worth it this time around.

autodesk, it would great if you included iRay with Mental Ray that packaged with Maya...please.

half obeschenogo release is a demo version of the demo. Demo version Dmm on 1500 simulations. Sabstant and can be considered mantalray. cruft direct, too, not the full version.
Happy just added PhysX and that renewed mental ray: version 3.9.1.36, Feb February 2011, revision 138829

There is a trick for activate iRay in Maya (SLI and fermi capable).
Take dlls from 3ds max 2012:
cudart64_32_7.dll
libiray.dll
libiraymr.dll
http://www.mediafire.com/?hd7i1ueoyplilly

And place the .dll in the bin folder of Maya 2012.
And after you must run a script, but i don’t find him. I search.
