Oh ok. Thats what you actually meant in your original post. sorry my bad.. Yeah it seems that there is no way to see the final result in while modelling.. Unless you use plugins…

Duplicate object. Connect firstObject.outputMesh to secondObject.inputMesh. Apply Mirror cut to second object or create similar node network manually. Done!

Edit the first object and you can see the result.
If you don`t want to have 2 objects just reparent shapes and set resulted mesh as template.

Check the example scene in attachments. I added attribute to switch between Modelling, Modelling With Preview And Result Modes. 5 minutes setup. You can even change input Mesh and start editing different model…
