This would be very helpful and speed up things for Maya.

Do we know when will we have this for Maya (as a plugin or not)?

This is basically just a physically-based renderer for sketchup with some predefined materials. IRay for mental ray can do the progressive rendering capability (realtime feedback rendering). It also seems to be using something similar to Sun and Sky. You may want to look at something like maxwell, fryrender etc as these are a little more physically-unbiased giving easier to achieve results and there’s a range of preset materials and shaders for them.
