Hi, i’m trying to make my rigged characters feet react to a bridge i’ve modelled and imported into Motionbuilder, but i’m having problems. I know how to make my character react to say, a plane, mapped as the floor contact, but i’m having trouble trying to make the model react with anything 3D.
For example (this may sound very noobish) If I created a box and dragged that into the mapping list for left foot floor etc, after characterizing the model if I tried to make the character step on top of the box her foot would go through the top but hit an invisible floor midway through. I’m aware you can move the contact markers around the feet so you could still technically define the floor, but coming back to my initial problem with the bridge, the surface of the bridge slightly curves, so as the character runs forward she would sink into the floor.
So basically, how do I make an object imported into motionbuilder solid so that my character doesn’t pass through it.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

I’ve tried messing around with the Rigid body constraint and the Physics solver and can almost get there…
really, does nobody know how to do this? I’m struggling here.

you can assign your floor object to a curved path that matches the bridge curve, the floor plane will account for rotation, then you just have to make sure the floor object moves at the same rate as your chracter.
Or use physics as your trying.. but the animated floor object should work the quickest.
