Hello there,
does anybody know how I can assign a Material only to a part of a Mesh?
I have got a Character with a different texture for the hair then for the rest of the Body.
Currently there is only one Material for the whole Mesh, how can I assign a second Material just for the faces of the Hair?

Re-importing the Mesh from Maya isn’t an option, because I don’t want to change to much of the original Motionbuilder-Rig and Skinning.

I’m working in Motionbuilder 2010 by the way, there seems to be no Forum for it here…

Thx in forward,
Raschko

http://motionbuildertraining.blo...inning-updating-with.html the post I just did will help you update the mesh with the new material.

no way to do it directly in Motionbuilder at the moment.

Thank you for your fast answer, It did work that way.

By the Way: Your “CA Toolkit” was a great help for me when learning MB, Thanks for that too.

Cheers, Raschko
