i noticed when i imported the biped from the Motionbuilder basic tutorial file,
that biped feet slide around in the story window.

the bones in basic do not slide, just the biped.

when i drag and drop a merge animation not in the story window
and character input to the biped the feed do not slide.

how ever - i want to use story and not the character input (drag&drop function).

i cant figure out the problem and i tried many hours to fix it and i was not able to find the problem.

please help.

ps. tried to attach the file, but it did not work. could not upload (500kb!)…

Hi Monster 3D,

Which tutorial file is it that you are having issues with?

Have you tried loading the clip normally to the character, editing the retargeting settings or re-saving the clip after load for use in Story for the Character? Note: you can also use Right-Click Insert Current Take in Story if the clip has been loaded through Character Controls. Also, for the clip you are using are there any auxiliary effectors or other elements that are keyed? –or- is the Reach T / Reach R keyed for the character?

Best Regards,

Lee
