I’ve been reading around trying to see about setting something up as a cheap way to do motion capturing.

I was wondering if there is a way to take say 3 separate video feeds (from cheap cameras that I already have; I’m not a multi million dollar studio I’m a college student) and Use that in motionbuilder ad have it build the mocap files.

As for the video feed i was thinking using some brightly painted ping pong balls attached to a spandex suit, put a couple black lights on me to give the balls a little more brightness and record myself going through a series of motions at like 30FPS.

Can anyone point me in the right direction of where to read up on how to get something like this going.

I don’t think that you can build a mocap out of cameras in Motion Builder. However you can use camera tracking softwares to do so. Matchmover for ex. Or 2d3 Boujou does it pretty well. I tested that for face capture.
