Here is my situation.  I am trying to batch retarget motion capture files to an evolverpro.com character.  I understand how to characterize the Evolver character and the motion capture skeleton that has the animation on it.  I understand how to plot that animation from the mocap to the Evolver character.  I also understand that you can do this process with a file that has the mocap skeleton starting out in a T-pose and use that file to retarget all of the motions in your batch folder to the Evolver character.  I’m just missing some part of this though because I cannot get it to work properly.

What do I do to set up this initial file so that I do not have to characterize all of the other motion capture files?  I think I’m doing it properly but I get the message “input character has no reference”.  Perhaps I do not even have the right settings.  Am I doing the Process Type “convert”? or should it be process type “save” and plot to control rig?  This is what I am clueless about.  I read in another post that to fix the reference character, it needs to have a node above the root.  I don’t get this though, I see my character’s hips, and a reference and a master above the hips.  Should I be selecting the Character that is my evolverpro character or the motion capture skeleton?
