Hello all,

I have a question about story ... I animated a character and when I was done with the animation I opened Story and chose “Insert current take” then I exported the clip I got from story to use it later ... when I brought it back to the same character .. I can`t seem to be able to orient the clip .. ( i.e. rotating the clip trajectory itself in the viewer window ) whenever I select the clip in story the translation and rotation gizmos are grayed out ... is there a difference between a clip from the ClipArt and the clip I exported .. and is it possible to be able to rotate the clip or even translate it to another location in the scene ?! .. thanks in advance and if what I said is not clear enough I can reiterate .

the export clip might be read only? or you might not have the track/clip animate button on ..  you can always just merge it back in to the main file if you need to and then put it back in to story.. but it sounds like you just don’t have it active and able to take changes.

Thanks Brad for the fast reply .. stupid enough I had ghosts hidden and Models only display .. I figured it out just when I was about to “Plot whole scene to current take” ... I have a question though .. I remember when I had such issue as a “read-only” clip that there was an option “make clip writable” when I right-click on the click I can`t seem to find it !! ...
