Thanks anyone for help on this one.

I have plotted animation to a control rig from a BVH file and then in the story window I am inserting the current take for the animated character to create a story clip of that movement, that all works fine and I am able to adjust and edit the story clip fine.

Problem I am having is that the clip only works for that character, if I place the clip on the track of another character nothing happens.

Oh and I am making the clip read only before moving it to another track, I have also tried dragging the clip as saved on disk from the asset browser to the new character track, no go.

Any clues to what the problem could be.

OK I think I found the problem, it seems that the character clip settings are switching the clips solving mode to retarget from Skeleton, and it will not let me switch it back to control rig, it keeps jumping back to skeleton.

Am I missing a step somewhere
