Hi, I hope someone out there can help me ...

I’ve modified the “ordeviceinput” sample in the OpenReality SDK to simulate activity on the 15 standard MoBu bone channels and I’ve given the channels the standard Basic Set MoBu bone names. I can drop the device in the view, bring it online and use the “Model Binding” => “Create” option and inspect visually that the device is working and that the bone names are correctly communicated.

But I’m stuck at the next step: the documentation only seems to describe the path from “Marker Set” => “Actor” => “Character Asset” => “Character Model”.

It doesn’t make it clear (to me at least) how to animate a character with live marker data that comes from a device as opposed to a recorded Marker Set.

I know I must have missed something, but I’ve been through the docs several times and put in a lot of trial and error to no avail.

Please help ... I’m stuck!

The typical workflow is to create Optical Markers to stream in your device data as the “entry point” to the MB world; then use Actor, its’ Markerset and then attach to the Character.

Can you elaborate on what type of data your device driver provides?

Thanks!
