Is it possible to use mocap animation from two different takes in one single take? Becouse I`ve tried everything and seems like I can`t find a soultion.

I did it with load/save character animations, but it did not work for me, all I did is went to a take I liked and then plotted the animation to skeleton rig, and then saved the animation. I did the same for both takes I liked. After that I created a new scene and created two different characters with different mesh, characterized them and everything. when I finished with those I loaded animation for both of them in wich case only one of them worked. One worked only in one take and the other one worked in a different take, I could not play them both at the same time. I`ve read MBhelp section and all but i could not resolve the problem. Did I do something wrong, becouse when I load the animations from “clipart/motions” I can play as many animations as I want in a single take. How can i create files like those that work the same.

Thanks.

Hey
andrej,

good news, here’s the solution to your problem:

when you do the load character animation, look at the right of that dialog box, it says: import take 002(for exemple) as : take 002.

when you load your second anim, you must tell it to import as: take 001 if you want it to be in the same take as your other character.(if the first animation is on take 001 of the new scene)

is it clearer? i know it can read strange. let me know, if you can’t do it, i’ll post a videoclip.

cheers

GF
