up until yesterday i have been using the clone stamp tool alot with no problem to fix texturing seems, however for some reason yesterday it decided to stop working.

the problem is that it isn’t registering where i am picking to clone from. i pick a new point and try to paint and the red error message appears at the bottom and says i need to pick a point by ctrl+click an area, i do this several times and nothing changes. each time i ctrl+click the software lags a bit and the cursor gets that loading circle (this never used to happen).

i have a paint layer selected, i have restarted mudbox and my machine a number of times, reverted back to a mesh where it used to work that contained just one texture layer to see if it was that my scene file was corrupt… but no, the problem is still there.

im looking for any advice here

thank you for your time
