I tried turning off a layer to see what it looked like without it. my PC poped up with NOT ENOUGH MEMORY then there was a black feild around the target area on my mesh. now its collapsed into this. the impressions are depressions and visa versa

is there a way to reverse this or atleast avoid this in the future?
