I keep getting the following error popup the moment I click on the model/viewport:

Warning: Some operations are not supported by the graphics card. Please check the minimum system requirements or update your drivers.

Log file:

Hardware failure?
Failed to load program Shaders/PickerVertex.bin (profile: gp4vp, error code: 1)
(0) : error C0000: syntax error, unexpected $end at token “<EOF>”
(0) : error C0501: type name expected at token “<null atom>”
Total number of polygons rendered during the session: 3648
Shutdown, memory used: 0 Megabytes

I have 9800 GTX+ and can run Mudbox 2009 x64 just fine. I even tried updating to latest nVidia beta drivers but I still get the error.

Now the only thing I have not updated so far is the Vista DirectX 11. Going to download it now just in-case that is the cause of this issue. Either way, any suggestions?

Yeah I’m having the same issue on windows7.  Tried the 32 and 64 version, updated everything to no avail.  Running a quadro 3800.  I’ve seen this on a few other boards as well but no one seems to have any luck solving it.

I can’t find a solution myself. I was going to upgrade to 2010 for the minor tweaks they did but it seems that this is out of the question thanks to this issue (thank god I tried the trial).

I am sticking with 2009 then, maybe 2011 will work fine (or next nVidia WHQL driver release).

Hi to All. I FIXED IT
The BUG is due the wrong internal shader search path.
This happens if you have a working path different than installation path.
try to copy the subfolder “Shaders” of Mudbox installation
inside your working path. This worked for me.

Example: i have mudbox2010 installed in: C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Mudbox2010
and my working dir in D:\mdbox

i just copied C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Mudbox2010\shaders
inside D:\mdbox

Cheers,
Fausto

You are awesome. This fixed it.

To those who don’t understand what their “working dir” is, goto Window > Preferences > Paths. The folder where stencils, data and all that stuff is being saved (though you can change it all, the Data one is the main i believe) is the working DIR. Mine was D:/temp.

Thank you ficolo.
