Hi Everybody:
I have imported in Mudbox an Basemesh, that I cannot subdivide because I receive the message that you can see in the attachement, from Mudbox.
My problem is,when I receive this message I highligth the option “Highligth affected edges”,but nothing appears in the 3D view of Mudbox. In other words,Mudbox not mark the problematic edges in my basemesh…
Could be some Display configuration and or option that I don’t know for display this affected edges?
Other question:
There are some method in 3DS MAX 2011 for detecting the faces that are sharing more than one edge?
I will be very gratefully if you can help me…
Greetings:
Sergio.

These normally lie on the centre line if you use the Symmetry modifier and allow verts to cross the mirror plane.

In max go to the model. If you still have the Symmetry modifier, then disable it temporarily. Select all verts on the centre line and those that should be on the centre line if there were some that crossed it. Flatten them in X and zero them out by right clicking on the X move spinner. Then turn the symmetry modifier back on. Check around the centre line and see if it’s looking better. You should be able to see the extra verts. Collapse and run the Select Non Quads command in the Selection ribbon tab. That should select any that are still there. Fix them by removing the verts.

If there aren’t any you’re good to go.

If you already collapsed the stack and don’t have the model from before this, then just run the select non quads command and you’ll have to fix them manually by removing the extra verts.

Thanks robinball.
Really,mi problem was that Mudbox efectivelly was marking the prolematic edges,I cannot see them, because these are in the interior of the mesh.In the bucal cavity,(I am working in an Organic, female model),and in de genitalia area…
At this moment,I fix the problem.
Greetings,and Thanks:
Sergio.
