Hi

Is there a simple way to intersect simple strokes keeping their height constant where they intersect? When I do it I get a bump in height where they intersect.

thanks in advance

If it was painted in a single stroke there are a few brushes you could use that have no build up on overlappig strokes (and mask off the unwanted areas.) Or you could simply use a stencil.

I had a try with your stencil suggestion and I played around with mask and flooding my mesh. Got that to work. Thanks

Probably being a noob here but what brushes prevent build up on overlapping strokes? Is it a combination of tools or just a single brush? Confused :)

thanks in advance

the brushs that dont have build up will still work this way if you do more than one stroke. The surefire way to keep everything at the same height its to dig out, on a seperately layer, the general area you want to sculpt and then use the mask brush.

This is demstrated in Wayne’s hard surface tutorial vid much better than I have explained it.
