So I just installed 64-bit Windows 7 and tried opening Mudbox 2009. I get all the way to the point where the window where you can pick a starting model comes up, but when I
choose a starting model another window pops up that reads “mudbox.exe has stopped working”. Windows looks for more information on the problem and lists three files that should
give me more information. Those files are:
Drive:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Temp\WER5AF.tmp.WERInternalMetadata.xml
Drive:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Temp\WER1173.tmp.appcompat.txt
Drive:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Temp\WER1193.tmp.hdmp
Any ideas on what the problem is?

Same problem. I have 2010 and Windows 7. It won’t let me open a base mesh or do anything, I just get an error message.
I think there is an issue with the driver for my graphics card being compatible with Windows 7

xD i have problems with mudbox 2009/windows 7 too. I installed windows 7 64bit and mudbox 2009, imported my model into it and i only can subdivide once, the second time gives me
an error and it closes. Other models work imported but the fps drops dramatically when i subdivide to a specific number of times (the number differs from a model to other).
My specifications are
nvidia 9600 gos 768 mb
2 gb ram
intel core 2 quad 2.4 ghz
Thing is everything worked perfectly in xp 32bit before with the same specifications but now… :-/ . I tried compatibility mode (i started to see the efficiency of compatibility
mode since swaping to w7 :D ) but in this case it didn’t work. Also i tried importing the obj back to 3ds max and reexporting to obj but still, in this case, it hasn’t worked.
