Mudbox doesn't start

I’ve downloaded the Mudbox trial, installed it fine, and tried to run it. It asks me to confirm some directories, which I do, and then it seems to freeze. When I try running the ‘mudbox (test)’ shortcut, the command line window only gets to ‘Default Cameras Added’. After this, the process CPU usage skyrockets and it freezes. Does anyone have any idea what’s wrong? I’ve tried reinstalling, it didn’t seem to have any effect.
