I’m new to mudbox. I took a model from 3ds max, made sure there were no overlapping uvw maps, made sure there no n-gons, and exported it out as an fbx file. then I imported it into mudbox. The problem is when I try to use any of the sculpting tools mudbox ‘explodes’ the mesh.

Here is what it looks like.

(I frapsed the problem, but I didn’t know fraps wouldn’t capture the UI, so I was trying to how that the brush size was greater than the intensity, and that I had subdivided enough that this wasn’t flipping normals or anything like that.)

There is a problem with your UVs, or your model’s verts need to be welded.
