I just installed an MSI 9800GT 1Gig Graphics card onto my pc (Vista 32). I can sculpt and paint, but the painting part gets messed up. When I try to create my first paint layer, I get an error message basically stating that my Graphics Memory is low. I can use the paint tools at the college where I teach and on my macbook with 512 Megs on the Graphics Card. Is there a way to set the graphics memory in either Vista or Mudbox? I also have 4 Gigs of RAM installed on the machine although I know only 3 Gigs are available.

Thanks to anyone and everyone that can help.

Eric

You shouldnt have a problem with this, try installing the latest video driver from Nvidia site (completely uninstall the current driver first)

Thanks. I was also going to contact Autodesk Tech Support. Do you happen to know a phone number that I can get good help from Autodesk? I just purchased the software and if they can help, I want to try. Also, is there any preference settings in Mudbox that will allow me to better use the system’s resources?

Take care.

Eric
