Not a lot more i can say other than I keep getting out of memory on file load. My model is ok but if I save it out I then become unable to load the file. Then it says there has been an unknown error.

This is happening a lot to models I have nearly completed, so quite a lot of polys involved in total. So i decided to save the model back out into separate mudbox files, head, torso, skirt etc. I did this and now all the separate files say out of memory !?!

Anybody know whats going on here.

My system is Win XP 32bit with 4gig and a Nvidea 8800gt

We’re running 64bit with 8 gigs and almost a gig of video ram and we run out of memory so it’s possible that you’re literally running out of memory.

Keep an eye on how much video ram you’re using while sculpting. the info is displayed in the lower right hand corner.  We’ve also noticed problems with corrupt files that refuse to load again when the memory usage goes way up before saving.  I think there was a thread about corrupt files as well. Check out the bug reports. Sorry, cant be more help. I’d suggest that you export out a hi-rez obj of your work before closing just in case so you have something else as backup if your file goes bad.

any chance you could tell me what kind of poly count you can expect to get on your system on a single object and on combined objects in a scene?
