| Posing Fatel error... (2012)
|
|
|
Hello has anyone else had the issue where pose in mudbox has lead to a fatel error once (even one) subdivision is added?
The funny thing is i can switch to save poses without a crash just when i try to rotate a joint. This happen when pose on any sudDiv lowest or highest btw.
Im using mudbox 2012 sp3 how every i come across a post where someone has had this issue in 2011 Sp3. Though not enough ppl replied to really solve anything. I just need to know if this a problem with mudbox it self or if i need to reinstall.
*edit*-did and didn’t solve problem delete settings files work for a few pose tweak then crashes tad bit better but still have to go back and redelete that file every crash. so it’s still a problem!!!!

Hello, I have the exact same problem (Using a macbook pro). I found it frustrating, ever since Maya or mudbox 2010, I have encountered crash after crash, bug after bug, I have upgraded to various SP’s but all I get are new or different bugs.
I’m not sure if it’s because I’m using a Mac but I’m about to switch to other 3d packages rather than autodesk.
EDIT: Hello
I found only 1 work around, if you create and pose one joint at a time instead of creating the whole bone structure. So far, it hasn’t crashed and though it’s slow to pose, it’s workable for me at the moment. Also don’t create mirror joints. :) Let me know if that works for you.
Edit again: Spoke too soon, still crashes, though I can get further.

Hi,
Sorry that you have som much problems with Maya and Mudbox, but they are much less “buggy” than when I began Maya 6.5 I think.
If you could please specify more exactly what the problem is, when it happens, and how you’ve tried to solve it I might be able to help you figuring it out by recreating the bug. If you want you could upload the file on sprend or any other service.
I have no insight in macs, do you both have macs?
