Hello…
I am currently using windows vista 64-bit that has 8GB RAM, , core2 quad CPU and an nvidia geforce 9600 gt.
Why is mudbox running slowly?
When I get to dense ploy meshes (6 million or so) mudbox just slows down a lot!!! It even reports an “unknown error” and just crashes…
Any suggestions?
CheerS…

Does that mean I have to get another VGA? If yes, can you give me any suggestions?

You should get smooth frame rate with that card, I have it I can go beyond 25 millions and I still get 60+ fps. no slow down at all, I did notice few things though if there are triangles in your base model then mudbox slows down alot. Also check the fast render scale it defaults to 0.60 I set mine to 0.50
