I searched the forums for this but couldn’t find anything specific so I wanted to make a thread for it. When I turn symmetry on (X or tangent) and then stamp an area of the mesh, the other side is not stamped correctly.
Clicking then dragging the stamp vertically up or down produces a mirrored stamp that is not flipped horizontally like it should be (see image 1).
Clicking then dragging the stamp horizontally left or right produces a mirrored stamp that is flipped both horizontally and vertically instead of just horizontally (see image 2).
Clicking the dragging diagonally produces a mirrored stamp that is rotated -90 degrees (see image 3).
I also noticed that, depending on where I stamped, the mirrored stamp would sometimes be stretched (see images 4 and 5).
Hope this helps in fixing this bug.
Also, though these have been mentioned I figured I’d note that they’re affecting me too: stamping on one side of the mesh with symmetry on while you can’t see the other side where the mirrored stamp should be, doesn’t produce a mirrored stamp as if you didn’t have symmetry on. Lastly, if the mouse cursor goes past the boundary of the mesh after beginning a stamp drag then the mesh doesn’t get stamped.
