Hello All!
Hopefully there is some type of easy fix for this. I have tried searching around for a solution but I can’t find anything related to my problem. For some reason while sculpting there are certain areas of my mesh that have become “unresponsive” to the brushes. Specifically the fingertips and tips of the toes. It is also happening on the upper portion of the bottom lip. Trying to sculpt along that inner edge of the bottom lip yields either drastically surprising, or no results at all. The brush outline actually disappears on some of these sections, leaving only the middle target. My base mesh was created in Maya, double checked- all quads and UV’s are layed out, no intersections. I have tried using the Mudbox generated UV’s and I still have the same problem. I have also tried working from a number of different sub levels as well as tweaking both the size and strength of the brushes. The rest of my model has come out quite well; it would be a shame to scrap it because the fingers are being buggy. I have attached an image file to show the problem. The image showing the uneven lip was sculpted with mirroring on.
