Unwrap or UVW in Max: do it before export mudbox or not?

I have a newbie question i guess.. as u already know.. i’m a newbie..

So, after i did the basemesh should i unwrap it to use mudbox properly?

I’m asking that cuz i can’t create the symmetry in tools also.

I know that sooner or later i should do that.. i’m asking because if i wanna do some adjustments in mudbox that is faster to manipulate vertices than max…
