Same issue here. Start modelling and after some tool manipulation comes up with this error and viewport goes blank

This is insane. Does autodesk not READ these posts???

Using a:
3.8gHz Pentium Dell Precision 380
nVidia Quadro FX 4500 (!)
3 GB RAM
Dual Monitor DVI (HD and regular)

Maya, Toxik, Motion Builder all work smooth, Mudbox the only problem child.

I finally found a set of drivers that work with my laptop, the Dell M4400 with Quadro FX 1700M. The drivers are the A04 drivers from dell, which correspond to ForceWare version 176.88. The most recent drivers from Dell (A05) does not work, so I’ll stick with these for as long as I can.

Same issue here. As far as I can tell it’s definitely a display driver issue, which is really driving me nuts. Some drivers work with MB2009 some dont. It doesnt seem to matter whether its Geforce or Quadro.  I found that ie on 178.49 MB2009 closes down as decribed in previous posts, while on 178.46 and numerous previous drivers it works fine. Problem for me is, 178.49 gives me insane fps on massive amounts of polys in XSI, so MB2009 got booted from that system.

Some official word on this would be nice though. ;)

Cheers!

I completely agree with you - I’d rather have drivers that make my system stable rather than drivers that work specifically with Mudbox 2009… I hope the developers look into this (perhaps together with the other Autodesk teams) and make sure that Mudbox 2009 work with the same drivers as 3ds Max, Maya and XSI.

Open a support ticket instead, that did wonders for me.
