I wanted to showcase some characters I modeled in Maya and sculpted in Mudbox.  They are all characters from a Christmas screenplay I’ve written.  I’m working with a veteran Disney animator who is improving upon my concept art for the project.  Any crits are welcome.  I hope to have the site that will promote the project live within the next few weeks.  The goal is to either gain interest from a studio or gain financing to fund the production of the full program.  The script is complete (1 hour 20 minutes) and is meant to be produced in stereoscopic 3D.

If there are any studios out there looking to develop a holiday project please feel free to reach out to me.  The program could best be described as a having the heart of a Rankin Bass with the Action/Adventure of a Don Bluth or Pixar film.

Just out of curiosity… who is the Disney animator you’re working with?

His name is Jeffrey Varab.  He’s worked for ILM, Don Bluth, and some other studios as well.  I’ve been friends with him for a couple of years.  You can read more about him at the following link.

I’m also currently working with him in producing an educational DVD series that we have a distributor shoppping around.  You can learn more about it at:  http://www.drawingwithjeffrey.com

I honestly think these characters need a lot more developing for a film.

very good start though.

Do you or anyone else have any additional critiques?  I’d love to hear from industry veterans who have worked on films who can provide positive input.  I know these might not be “How to train your Dragon” caliber, but I think they do have their own fun style.
