Hello all, I’m new here.
The Hunter is my new character. I used 3DMax for modeling, rig and render. Mudbox for modeling and Texture and Photoshop for color correction.
This character is for a project I am doing, with this image I tried to show the power and soul of this dragon called Hunter.
I used a displacement map and Mental Ray to render.
Hope you like. Thanks.

Looks cool. I always love a good dragon. Just a few small crits. The wings look thick and heavy and don’t look big enough to get a beast this size off the ground. I would also work on a more dynamic pose for the wings and add some curl to them. The eye color also contrasts so much with the pose and it doesn’t really look focused on anything even though it’s growling into the heavens.
I would also considering softening the background to give this more of a “racked-focus” look. Right now everything is 100% in focus.
I really like the bony structure you’ve created. Might be cool to use your dodge and burn brushes to create some stronger contrast in the colors.
A lot of potential on this one with a little more work. Very cool.

Absolutely love the model, I think playing with a new pose would be damn fine for this.
If you were to get the dragon to directly address the camera with an even depth of field that falls off into the background focusing on his eyes.
But if you really want to switch that pose up a bit, you could try a stereoscopic render with a bit of pop-out. Not saying that it’s what’ll make this model (Believe I think it’s damn fine as it is) But I think it’d be rather interesting to see something with that much detail in some form of depth. Hell with the 3DS around the corner, if it supports custom backgrounds this would be pretty bad-ass to have sat staring at me on the top screen.
