My Final pre production render before hand over

Did some work a while back thats finally seen the light of day, There’s a few models of mine in there but the most obvious is the nice big blue whale (which had to be anatomically spot on the money as it was for the open university.  So it had to pass a number of whale experts...the slighest error and back it would come.) There is an amazing ammount of small but important subtleties in a blue whale that I had never realised beofre doing this model for the ad.  It also had to look ‘right’ color wise for a LIVE blue whale out of water..and supringly enough there isn’t a lot of refernce for a live blue whale on land. (Like most aquatic beings they change and eventually lose their color when dead.)

I’m Looking forward to seeing it in HD.  The rigging was done by Ant Ward for those interested.  Hopefuly I’ll be able to share some of the other models I did for it and other projects soon.  This was done using the early alpha build at the time of mudbox 2011
