Maybe some of you haven seen this one already but since a big part of it was done in Mudbox, I thought I’d post it here as well:

There’s also another quick renders where I change the light position since someone implied on another forum that I was using some sort of photo collage for the eyes.

I still a lot to tweak on the fur and shading here and there.
This was rendered in Modo btw.

Cheers,

Jacques.

Amazing work Jacques, great expression, great lighting, modeling, etc.

PLEASE, can you help me answer this questions, it will be highly appreciate.

1-The eyes are very expressive and reallistic, in the case you use subsurface scatering on them, which i believe you did, did you apply a strong subsurface or little?

2-What amount of reflection did you use on the corneas...?

3-Is the specular the same in all the cornea`s surface or do you use a map to define what areas are more specular and less specular..if so, which areas have more spec and which less...?..same question goes for the reflection...any map there as well...?

Again Amazing work, congratulations!!

Best Regards

very nice work ..
but i would not expect less coming from you :-)
have been following your work since the good old Lw day ( i think the first stuff i saw from you ..was the undergroud train station ..many moons ago )
and everytime . i get very impressed ...
i don’t really care about any technique you might have used to get the eyes looking better ...
cause at the end of the day the important stuff is the final image ..
and in this case , the final image is awesome

looking forward to see more of your stuff .. and teh progress on teh chimp

This is amazing! How did you do the hair?

Any more elaboration on how you made this (including the eyes)
would be well appreciated…

Great work.

Please do elaborate on the eye set up. Shader, mesh, lighting and textures of you will. I would really like to get better at shaders. I want to take my Tyson renders to a higher quality level. I lack some knowledge on shader and light set ups. Especially when it comes to the eyes. If you are too busy to elaborate, can you point me to a good resource to teach myself?
