Bug? Paint Brush Stamp spinning near edges of model

I’ve been noticing that Paint brush stamps tend to spin near edges of a model. This results in “crop circle” like patterns in a texture.

I’m not sure if it does it on sculpt brushes. I would have to test that, but during painting, I’ve noticed this behavior
