Hello,

I am on the market to replace my desktop, it just basically fried. I model and animate in/for 3D game industry, hi/low rez and sometime I use Unreal or Cryengine…

I am looking at
ASUS P8B WS LGA 1155 Intel C206 ATX Intel Xeon E3 Server/Workstation Motherboard
PNY VCQ4000-PB Quadro 4000 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Workstation
Intel Xeon E3-1225 Sandy Bridge 3.1GHz LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Server Processor BX80623E31225

Does Autodesk 3DSMAX 2012 and MUDBOX 2012 takes advantages of INTEL north bridge C206
Does Autodesk #DSMAX 2012 and MUDBOX 2012 takes advantages, perform better, and without any issue with Intel Built-in Intel HD Graphics P3000 with Dynamic Frequency.

I know the quadro will work just fine… Though I am skeptical for the north bridge. A website states it helps perform better for CAD, solidwork… but I have no clue how it relates to max and mudbox 2012.
I can appreciate the bells and whistles from Intel HD graphic 3000. I do not understand what it is good at and on top how it could work in parallel with a real GPU such as Quadro 4000 in my case during modeling and animating?

Along comes minimum 2X8 16 gigs ECC Kingston 1333
1*250 gigs SSD.

Thanks a bunch for taking your time and for your help,
Seb

Too bad nobody have a comment, critic, or a recommendation. That aforementioned motherboard looks good but I am scared when I see stickers glued on a product to demonstrate bells and whistles.
