Can anyone shed some light on the grab tool behavior, Half the time it doesn’t respond to your actions and totally not responding if you work on one side close up( like Fingers) and the other side is out of screen. Oglu any thoughts?

Same here, specially when using Editable Stencil. The grab brush just doesn’t response at all unless if you use a big brush size. Though mirroring doesn’t work sometimes too with it.

Instead of letting Mud users wait 4 months for a update they should release a hotfix within the next month being as 2012 was just released.  I’ll install 2012 but I’ll continue using 2011 until a hotfix is released.

1000000% agrees to all of u artists The behavior of Grab tool is unpredictable sometimes it just stop responding.

Secondly The performance of freeze tool is also slow even on low poly models like 1 millions it becomes extremely slow especially when u invert the selection .

Such bugs are very destructive and Autodesk must find the solutions as soon as they can.

Until this gets fixed, the only suggestion I have is don’t use mirror with the grab tool. Just leave that turned off and set your symmetry/mirror when you need to.

That’s what I do , but breaks the speed and the groove/zone to keep re-symmetrizing. One expects after 5 years of development that basic tools are not broken, How many basic tools in Zb4 are broken? And last year all the MB versions were super buggy including the subscription advantage pack as well as the sp1 of the sub pack. Starting to see a pattern and that is scary as I depend a lot on Mudbox and I am afraid it’s gonna die at this rate by not being able to compete with Z.

Sorry for the wait.  The 2012 Service Pack is coming together, though, and we should have something to release soon.
