Hi, i got a little question. I just started with Mudbox but i stumble upon something
wich i cant seem to find the anwser too, maybe you guys can help me. I started with creating a monster head in Mudbox, but after a while ofcourse i also wanna do the body. Do you design the head and body seperate and then combine them, or different?

depends on the monster…
if the monster has clothing or something to hide the seam its no problem to create the head seperately… but most of the time i create body and head together…

but if you like you can weld the head later onto the body…
create a new basemesh and bake a 32bit dispmap to bring the detail over..

you have to model a new basemseh in an external modeling app…
import the new basemesh (head and body welded) into a clean mud scene…
import the detailed head you sculpted before…
bake a 32bit dispmap between the new basemesh and the detailed head…
use the displace object with texture (dispmap) feature to bring the details to your new basemesh…
