Hi I am having issues with the 2012 versions of 3ds max/Mudbox when using the “send to” feature.

Regardless of which program I am in it causes a crash when going back and forth between the two. For example if I am in Max, and want to send a base mesh over to Mudbox, Max will crash during the export. Mudbox will open, but the scene is empty. The same happens if I try to send from Mudbox back to Max (Mudbox will crash, but max will open!). I have tested with literally just a single box polygon as my object. I have tried with and without the 2 applications already open.

If I just save out an .obj or .fbx, I can open the files...but the whole 1 step interoperability thing seems to be broken?

I’m on a Vista 64bit machine, 6gb Ram, Core i7. All latest SP’s and Hotfixes installed.

Any ideas?
