Sorry, yeah the brush lags at the higher subD levels in-between strokes. So, lets say I make a stroke (with any brush) and before I make another, the the brush tends to “stick” where I left it for a second. It also just occurred to me that I should mention I’m using a Cintiq 12WX. However, I tested it on and off of the Cintiq (tried it with the Wacom Intuos 3) and the same thing happens either way.

Yeah, I’m having the same bit of cursor lag on my system.....
2mil mark and the 8mil mark cursor will hang between strokes, about half a second, dont seem like much but that hang adds up to a problem.
During a stroke its butter and works well, its at the Pen-up and the Pen-Down that I get the hang.  Same model on the same system with ZB3.12 this hang does not happen.

I am trying to IMPORT a .OBJ file, it’s an EXPORT from Poser 7.

Mudbox just crashes. I can import other .OBJ files. Is there a LIMIT to the POLYGONS that Mudbox can IMPORT?

thanks,
Verisin

Mesh gets hevily distored when using the Pinch tool if the model has been scaled non-uniformly (in one axis)

the more it was scaled the more it distorts.

This is abug right?

here’s a demo

They really need to step it up with SP3.  Dig the learning curve but there’s alot lacking in terms of features and stability when compared to zBrush....

I get the same on my mac, I also have a cintiq (21UX) - but also tried it with my old Intous 2

Here’s a bug,
I was painting a texture with stencil, and when I did an undo, half my texture was scrambled.  Another undo and my whole texture was erased!!!  Blank, gone.  I was loving my first few days of mudbox until this.  Now I don’t trust it for texure painting.

actually, in our case, only part of the texture is erased, leaving sort of rectangular remains.
happened even when we were not painting with stencils.

This happens every time I try to use the import UV function. They import okay at level 0 but when I go up one level, some of them just fly off into infinity. Windows XP 64, Dual AMD Opteron 2350, Nvidia Quadro FX 3700 Thanks

Apologize ahead of time if a solution to these problems are already posted somewhere on the forum.  Haven’t used mudbox in a while- Figured I knew the app well enough since I have a bit of experience in The other Sculpting App that shall not be named-been spending my time learning vue7 for an upcoming project instead (another funky GUI).

//-----------------
PROBLEMS:
//-----------------
The scaling in MB SP2 seems to be completely messed up all of a sudden- Even the Default models don’t seem to be reading correctly.  The sculpt brush doesn’t work at all.  FLood seems to completely messed up- Depth has absolutely no effect on the function.

-Tried rescaling, saving quitting and reopening
-Tied changing units of measurement (every setting)
-Uninstalled, restarted, reInstalled (as per instructions provided)

Problems still exist.  At this point Mudbox is completely unusable and I am one unhappy camper- especially since I recommended this app over zBrush for the US government because it had a shallower learning curve.

//-----------------
SPECS:
//-----------------
Dell Precision
XP SP3
Core2 T7400 @ 2.16 Ghz
4 GB RAM
NVidia Qudo FX 1500M

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
-Todd
