oke so i generated a 16 bit displacement map.
what i do in max is go to the Output Tab in the material editor and then i shift the values in mono mode to acording to the range of i get from mudbox to make the displacement work.

now i want to use my displacement in maya and realise you cant do the same thing in maya with the hypershade (guesing here) any ways.
i now wana know how to alter the values the same way as in max in photoshop.

i know its the levels tab or curves tab but the thing thats difrend is is that photoshops works with 0-255 not the same thing as max uses.\

so how do i go about doing this ?

thnx for your time, Tamis van der Laan.
