At work we were using the beta version and now our studio upgraded to 1.0. In the beta, I was able to subdivide a character mesh 3-4 times without issues. However in 1.0 if I subdivide the mesh only once it takes about 3 times as long as it did before and if I try to subdivide twice it freezes at 90% on the same model. Anything I might be doing wrong? My model is all in quads, no holes. Only thing I can think of is that I might have accidently added a tri or n-gon somwhere in my base mesh before exporting, but I have looked all over my model and all I can see is quads. Suggestions appreciated.

Check to see that you deleted your old settings file before starting the new version. Also version 1.04 ( which you should be using ) supports tris and n-sided faces. So you don’t need to search your model to find these. But the subdivision should not be 3 times slower.

Are you using an old scene file from the beta?

You should be using version 1.04. How did your latest test go?

Dave,

at work I am also using beta3 but plan to upgrade soon to version 1.04.  Where can I find the list of changes?
