Hi!
got a problem… i’m on 2009 on a mac. I get the “// Error: File not found: disp.bmp” when launch the mel… where i put the icons folder on a mac???…

I dont think MAC read bmp files
you can convert them to xpm

If you have the time, would you care to explain (in very few words) what the two Average nodes + Luminance node do excactly ?

Is it like a custom tone mapper?

It works so smoothly…

as for the 2 nodes, I found a limitation in Maya, that in some cases it will put a cap in the displacment if it hasa multi tile UV
to avoid it, I needed to somehow to “hold” that alpha and then pass it again

why are the objects turning black (in shaded mode) if i assign a diffuse texture with your script..?
any ideas..?

Did you use AO as well, or just color?
Is the color map size bigger than 1024*1024 ?
Is it just a matter of display? , in other words it will still render

in texture mode all is fine… and the render also…

only diffuse no ao…

i use only one texture… no uv tiles…
if i build the same blinn shader from hand, the cube looks like expected…

strange…
