Adjusting Layers Brightness/contrast/Levels

When projecting reference photos/textures, sometimes the values/brightness is different.

It would be great if one could adjust each layer’s brightness/contrast/levels to match other layers.

I agree. Adjusting layer levels means sending the image to Photoshop or other 2d software and that seems like a waste of time. It would be much easier and quicker to be able to adjust layer levels, brightness and contrast and hue directly in Mudbox. It’s good that you can paint these adjustments, but I often want to do a whole layer by the same amount. Especially if I copy a diffuse level and want to start using that for a spec map.

It’s on the official wishlist. So I’m sure it’ll make it in there in a future release, it’s a popular wish.

I know because I was one of the people who reported it as a wish into the official form on the adesk website, and I know it’s popular because at least a dozen people here at work also want the feature :)
