I’m very new to Mudbox, so I apologize if I am misunderstanding something.

Currently, when you hit Frame All, it does not seem to adjust the near and far planes to ensure that the model can actually be seen if it is large relative to Mudbox’s default scale.  Thus I usually have to manually enter a large value into the far plane box in order to see my model when I first load it.

So I thought it might be a nice feature to automatically move the far plane back to the furthest vertex (and maybe + 10%?) during Frame All if it is not already behind it.  Similarly, it might be nice to do this on load as well, so that people who are loading off-scale models for the first time do not get confused.

One of Mudbox’s nice aspects is that it is super easy to jump in and start working, even without reading the manual or watching a tutorial.  I think automatically scaling the far plane would help eliminate one potential stumbling block for beginners that would make this fantastic aspect true across a wider range of programs from which models are imported.
