Same here. I really IS annoying how the brushes go crazy unless I set them way down. Please do something about that, Autodesk. It’s both your products that are incompatible here.
I think it’s safe to say most people use Mudbox on humans, animals and creatures. So that would be the size to relate to, wouldn’t it?

no problems here…
your objects need the right size… import the baseman to your main app and scale your objects up or down…

Ok. Thanks, Oglu. I checked my system units, they are now set to centimeters. On a human figure of 1,7 meters the sculpt brush with strength 100 on full pressure still creates extrusions of several headlengths. A convenient setting is around 3 or 4.
I used the obj exporter of 3ds max 2009. Even checked the ‘Mudbox’ preset. In ZBrush a strength of 100 extrudes the surface just a few centimeters, the size of an apple or so.
What software do you use and how do you export?

im using maya… there is no trick in the export settings…
if your size in mud is the same as the mud head or human you are fine…
and settings around 3 or 4 are ok…

Well, I guess you’re right. I wish the settings would behave more natural though, it just doesn’t feel right this way. Happy sculpting anyways ;)
