Hello all,

Well here’s my suggestion and big hope for the next release of this wonderfull app .
Now that mudbox is part of autodesk, is there a chance one could import, export maya cameras with all related data ( focal length, image plane, film gate etc..)
I think this is a crucial point for an unified workflow, and it strongly lacks.
I’m i alone to stare for it? real tim AO, reflection is cool, gigapoly core is ubbercool, but what about a camera?
Wait, 3d matte painting, photomodeling made possible with a digital-sculpt approach, does it sounds good ?
It’s just necessary, i’m tired of erratic calibrations based on pseudo-orthos/persp cams.
Why would i try to re-guess the focal and position when i have a perfectly calibrated/matchmoved ready-to-go cam?
don’t get me wrong, mudbox is not the place to do it (calibration, photogrammetry) , i’d just want to import a maya camera into it .
now 2k8, mudbox 2009 okay, my suggestion is :
Can we have a maya-consistent solid camera?

Thanks a lot people behind this app i love to hear this request.

The developers are aware of this wish.

It’s something I’d use all the time, since I do a lot of mudbox env work, but I’d appreciate a max camera import as well as maya. Thankfully, autodesk owns both :)
