Thank you for the Tip Wayne, never knew that although a lasso selection tool would be nice :)

you are able to select faces on differen uv tiles with shift+A…

When selecting faces in Mudbox 2011 I get a soft, vertex-colouring effect around the egde of my selection (see first attached image). I find this visualisation of my selection hard to work with.

Does anyone know of a way to get the face selection to have hard edges (see second attached image)?

thats not possible… mud is using vertexcolor for that selection…
you are not really often selecting faces… so i think they should work on needfull things first…

It appeared to be possible in Mudbox 2009 - see this tutorial by Wayne Robson…

Has this perhaps changed in the latest versions?
