From the day i downloaded the mudbox trial I chased them up on this.

I’ve had this particular beef with 3dconnexions on their forums for quite some time about the fact that at the moment the device either works if they provide a driver or doesnt at all.

They seem to think that releasing a API for the device is all that they need to do..kind of an ‘if you build it they will come’ attitude that will probably doom these devices to obscurity within a year or so.....which is a shame cos a combination of these and a tablet would make mudbox nigh on perfect in my book..

Any Skymatter representative prepared to comment on likely availabilty of the SpacePilot etc. drivers?  It’s almost bizarre not too have them!

Lee,
I must admit now that Mudbox has been bought out by Autodesk I’d say that there’s a good chance of this happening at the 3dconnexions end. It does seem that no matter what Autodesk releases (and no matter how obscure) they seem to produce a driver for it…

I wouldn’t hold your breath though.. :)

Shaun
