Adding hotkeys to the image browser may not sound like a sexy feature but it would be extremely handy and speed up my workflow (use default windows hotkeys).
Alt+Up = Go up a level of folder hiearchy
Directional Arrows = Move around textures
Then add right click menu to directly apply texture as stencil, stamp or camera plane. Without needing to move mouse a long distance.
I have also mentioned in the past a right click menu for textures for such things as copy, cut, paste, duplicate, Show in Explorer (or Finder), properties, and finally an option to Duplicate and resize. Thus user can directly resample, resize image in Mudbox to another resolution without needing to jump to Photoshop. One more thing that would be great is being able to apply curves, levels, hue/saturation, sharpen, and blur to all textures within image browser. This could be done non-destructively or baked back down to the texture by the user (thus they could first use the duplicate image feature, then create some colour shifts, then bake them back down to duplicate).
The one other big feature currently missing for me regarding texture workflows is a method to warp textures before projecting.
