Hi,

I was just sculpting a vase (yes I’m a newbie!) and I thought it would be really useful to set the object to auto-rotate along one of the axis and I could sculpt while it was rotating.  Much like a potter would on a potters wheel or a woodworker on a lathe.

I’m pretty sure this would be simple to develop and could be extended to allow painting or whatever else as part of the functionality.

It would perhaps be very specific and not particularly useful in a real world context but I thought I would throw it into the pot (pun intended!)

an interpretation of that would be Zbrushes radial brushes.

Well you can choose to filter axis of rotation in zbrush… so you get a potters wheel feel.
I would vote for that feature in mudbox too - its really good when working on a head.
